ERW is the abbreviation of "Resistance Welding" in English. The core principle of its manufacturing process is to utilize the heat generated by the resistance of current passing through the metal, to heat the edge of the tube blank to a molten or plastic state, and then achieve welding under the action of pressure.

In simple terms, the production process of ERW stainless steel pipes is as follows:

Stainless steel strip/roll → Forming (gradually rolled into a cylindrical shape) → Resistance welding → Weld seam treatment (removing internal and external weld scars, heat treatment) → Diameter control, straightening → Cutting, inspection → Finished product.

Main features

High-efficiency economy: The production line operates continuously at high speed, with high material utilization rate (no cutting waste), and the production cost is lower compared to seamless tubes, especially suitable for large-scale, standard-sized production.

High dimensional accuracy: The outer diameter and wall thickness are well controlled, and the inner and outer surfaces are smooth.

Strength and toughness: Through cold processing and appropriate weld heat treatment, excellent mechanical properties can be achieved.

The weld is crucial: The quality of the weld is the lifeline of ERW pipes. Modern advanced ERW technologies (such as high-frequency welding) can make the weld strength reach or even exceed the strength of the base material.

Flexible in length: It can produce ultra-long fixed-length pipes according to requirements, reducing the number of joints.
